Sunscreen Scare

The Environmental Working Group did a study of nearly 1,000 sunscreens. And the results? 4 out of 5 sunscreens don't block out enough of the sun's UV rays, including brands such as Coppertone, Neutrogena, and Banana Boat. They also discovered that 48% of sunscreens contain ingredients which break down in the sun, either by themselves or in combination with other sunblocks. What to do now?
In comes La Roche Posay Anthelios 40 Sunscreen. This sunscreen contains the ingredient Mexoryl™ SX, which gives it the highest UVA and UVB protection in a sunscreen. While this product has been popular in Europe, it was only recently approved by the FDA because Mexoryl is new on the market. At $29.50, it's pricey for sunscreen, but worth it for your skin!

For more suggestions, these are the top five rated sunscreens by the Environmental Working Group:
-Keys Soap Solar Rx Therapeutic Sunblock
-Trukid Sunny Days Facestick Mineral Sunscreen UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum
-California Baby Sunblock Stick No Fragrance
-Badger Sunscreen
-Marie Veronique Skin Therapy Creme de Jour
